Sankhuwasabha, July 8
A tractor fell off the road at Dumkata, Chainpur municipality-10 of the Sankhuwasabha district in eastern Nepal, on Friday, killing two people.
Other 31 are injured, informs Inspector Saroj Khanal of the District Police Office. The injured are undergoing treatment at the Manakamana Community Hospital in Tumlingtar and the District Hospital in the district headquarters.
The tractor (Ko 2 Ta 3961) was carrying people attending a funeral.
The victims have been identified as Ganga Bahadur Tamang (24), a resident of Chainpur-10, and Keshav Karki (46) of Chainpur-9.
Police have arrested the tractor driver, Mohan Kumar Tamang (34) of Chainpur-10, for further investigation and action.
