Kathmandu, June 19

A tiger has been found dead in Chitwan National Park.

According to Bal Kumar Basnet, chairman of the Nirmal-Thori Consumers’ Committee, the male tiger was found dead in the Chitwan National Park area adjacent to Thori Gaonpalika 2, about 500 meters north of the Birgunj-Thori postal road.

“Looking at the condition of the dead tiger, it can be assumed that it died fighting another tiger.”

According to Basnet, a team from Deepanagar Range Post found it. He says that the dead tiger looked around 12 years old.
