Policeman arrested for robbing businessperson of Rs 3.5 million

Kathmandu, June 6

A policeman has been arrested on the charge of robbing a businessperson of Rs 3.5 million in Kathmandu recently.

The Kathmandu District Police Range arrested head constable Salik Ram Nepali, currently stationed at the Maligaun police circle in Kathmandu, on the charge, informs SP Dinesh Raj Mainali of the range.

Along with him, Pemba Tamang, a resident of the Nuwakot district, is also arrested.

Investigators claim two other police personnel were also involved in the robbery, and they are on the run.

A manhunt has been launched to nab them whereas further investigation is underway.
