Japan-bound woman arrested at Kathmandu airport for possessing a bullet

Kathmandu, April 11

A Nepali woman flying to Japan has been arrested at the Kathmandu airport on Monday on the charge of possessing a bullet.

The Tribhuvan International Airport Security Office says Sobita Nepali (27), a resident of Bhanu municipality-7 of the Tanahun district, has been arrested. She was preparing to board a Nepal Airlines flight to Malaysia on her way to Japan.

An x-ray examination of her purse found a bullet in it, according to the police.

Nepali has been handed over to the Metropolitan Police Circle in Gaushala for further investigation and action.
