Kathmandu, April 5
The constitutional body had invited all parties to the commission today, asking them to sign a copy of the conduct. However, the biggest political party in the country refused to do so.
Ramesh Badal, the chief of the party’s legal department, says the party did not agree to sign the code of conduct today owing to the chaos that surfaced during the meeting.
Before that, representatives of some small political parties had shouted at the commission officials demanding everyone get a chance to speak. The officials, however, had said all the participants could not speak as the meeting was called for a short time.
Meanwhile, other major parties including the ruling coalition partners signed the code.
