Nepal Covid-19 tally: 37 new cases, 382 recoveries, 0 deaths in 24 hours

The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that Nepal’s Covid-19 tally has reached 1,118,217 as of Sunday afternoon.

The ministry said 37 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.

In this period, 2,798 swab samples were tested in the RT-PCR method, of which returned 28 returned positive. Likewise, 1,263 underwent antigen tests for the virus, of which an additional nine tested positive.

Of total tests, 1 per cent of the PCR and 0.71 per cent of antigen samples returned positive, keeping the overall per-day positivity rate at 0.91 per cent.

As of today, there are 3,241 active cases across the country.

In the past 24 hours, 382 people have achieved recovery whereas the government says there were zero deaths today.

Of the total cases so far, 962,964 people have achieved recovery. Likewise, 11,950 died, according to the ministry. The country’s recovery rate is 98.4 per cent and the death rate is 1.2 per cent.

Meanwhile, 22,687 people were vaccinated today.
